Borton Fruit began supporting the Produce for Better Health (PBH) Foundation and national health campaign, Fruits & Veggies – More Matters back in September of 2012.  PBH works very hard to get information out to the consumers in a way that helps them understand the importance of including a variety of fruits and vegetables in daily meals and snacks to better their health.

While supporting this program, Borton has officially met Role Model status criteria and is very excited to accept the award this year in Scottsdale at the Consumer Connection Conference in March.  In addition to becoming a PBH Role Model, Lindsay Ehlis, Sales & Marketing, has accepted the ambassador role presented to her at this years PMA.  A PBH Ambassador is an individual passionate about the Foundation’s mission and message, provides a written testimonial about the importance of their program, financially supports PBH through sponsorships, membership fees, etc., and encourages and recruits others to provide annual support to the foundation.

“Being in the marketing department, it’s always a challenge to come up with new and exciting ways to get the consumer’s attention as well as provide knowledgeable information as to why they should purchase your products.  Since we have been involved with the PBH, we have utilized an abundant amount of the information they have sent us as well as made use of the many consumer friendly websites they offer.  Not only have the benefits of their resources helped me out internally with my position at Borton Fruit, but they have also impacted my personal life for the better,” States Lindsay.

Borton Fruit fully supports this Foundation and Campaign and is proud to be involved at the capacity we are.
