Fruit Logistica Reaches Record Attendance in Berlin

We’ve been attending the Fruit Logistica Food Show’s in both Berlin and Hong Kong for the past 4 years.  The Fruit Logistica produce shows are an amazing avenue to explore business opportunities worldwide.  This year in Berlin, there were 2,533 exhibitor’s, representing 83 different countries.  The overall attendance was over 56,000 visitors, 43,232 of which were from outside Germany, making up a total representation of 127 countries.  In attendance from Borton Fruit this year was Eric Borton (VP of International Sales & Marketing) and Dave Carlson (International Sales and Market Development). This show is very beneficial to our export program. There is no better venue that provides the ability to meet current and prospective customers from every part of the world in one place. This venue, which spans 3 days, is a great way to maintain relations with international contacts and develop new business in just a short amount of time without having to travel to multiple destinations.

Fruit Logistica includes every aspect of the worldwide produce industry, from harvesting and packaging solutions to fruit & vegetable growers/packers/shippers. Meaning, not only is it a great way to meet new customers and grow our export program, but it also is very beneficial seeing the latest produce technology and marketing trends, providing the ability to investigate ways to improve every aspect of our business.

“The show this year was very productive and well worth the trip”, states Eric Borton, “we were able to touch base and communicate with many of our current international customers as well as make many promising new contacts that will help grow our export program.”
