Yakima, WA – Borton Fruit has started harvesting 2016 crop Bartlett Pears! We started packing Bartlett’s on July 29th and have an array of sizes available in both US#1 and Fancy grades on our manifest at this time.
Chad Chronister, Borton Fruit’s Quality Assurance Manager, stated “The Bartlett Pears look very clean so far this season. Pressures and color are excellent, overall quality on all grades is very good.” See pictures at bottom of article of three different sizes packed this week.
Over the course of the next couple months, Borton Fruit will be harvesting multiple apple and pear varieties. We are beginning to pick Gala’s this week and will be starting to pack those next week. We’ll have an update of how those are coming along for you as well as what other varieties to be expecting in the next couple weeks.
