Yakima, WA – Food Safety will always be one of Borton Fruit’s top priorities as we continue working to maintain the utmost standards, providing our customers with unquestioned safe and quality fruit. Coreen Anderson will be a great addition to our team and we are excited to welcome her aboard.
Borton Fruit was ready for Coreen to begin this past Monday and she is eagerly training to be our Orchard Operations Quality & Safety Manager. Coreen co-owned her ranch Lombard Loop Orchards & Fruit since January 2007, but her exposure to orchards came many years earlier as she is the daughter of Jack Anderson, who has been one of our largest growers for some time now.
Coreen’s primary responsibilities will consist of planning, coordinating, and directing harvest quality control and employee safety programs that are designed to ensure continuous availability of fruit products consistent with industry food standards. She will travel to all grower ranch locations to advise GAP audit programs oriented towards supporting the orchards to achieve and maintain GAP certification.
With today’s ever changing industry standards, Borton Fruit feels Coreen is going to be a key person in our program here. We are very excited to see what Coreen brings to the table with her own experiences. Welcome Coreen! We are thrilled to have you here as a part of our team.
