Yakima, WA – Borton Fruit’s Directors of Marketing Jay Dyer and Darrin Carpenter just returned from yet another successful Southern Exposure Food Show put on by the Southeast Produce Council. Southern Exposure 2015 took place on February 25th – 28th at the Caribe Royale All Suite Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
This was the 12th year for this event and it has continued to prove it’s one to be a part of. The Show had a 50’s/60’s jumpin’ and jivin’ theme which made things pretty entertaining. The exhibitor hall filled up so quickly, there were 267 exhibitors on a waiting list! There were Retail, Wholesale and Food Service representatives; totaling around 2,000 Attendee’s this year, the record by far.
This was Borton’s 10th year attending this conference. “There were a lot of decision makers attending. The Show had really good traffic, participation and productivity within the venue. This show presents a tremendous opportunity for individuals to engage in a more relaxed setting,” said Jay Dyer. “We showcased our full line of Washington’s finest Apples and Pears at the expo. In addition, we presented our newest apple varieties – the Koru and Rockit along with our new merchandising rack for the 2lb-3lb Soft Net Bags. Overall the venue offers a great value for potential and current customers. We look forward to being back next year,” he went onto say.
