Premium Grade Apples packed under the Sno-Chief Classic label are the very best. We only put our premium graded apples in this label. For apples to meet the requirements of our preminium grade they must have nearly perfect color and shape. |
Washington Extra Fancy #1 Apples packed under the Sno-Chief label are Washington Extra Fancy #1. This grade has slighly less color than a premium and is typically 85% to full-color for Red Delicious. Apples packed under Sno-Chief label are very nice apples and a good choice if you do not demand a premium level apple. |
Washington Extra Fancy #2 Apples packed under the Yakima-Chief label are Washington Extra Fancy #2. This grade is slighly less color than our Sno-Chief - Washington Extra Fancy #1. It has typically 70-90% color for Red Delicious. This is also a very nice looking apple that is very appealing to the eye. |
U.S. Extra Fancy Apples packed under the Sno-Krisp label are U.S. (United States) Extra Fancy grade apples. This grade typically is 65 - 80% color and is just slightly lower of a grade than Yakima Chief Washington Extra Fancy #2. The average consumer will not be able to tell the difference between a Washington Extra Fancy #2 and a U.S. Extra Fancy #1. |
Washington Fancy The Washington Fancy is also packed under our Sno-Krisp label but usually under a different color. We intend on packing Washington Fancy in a Red and Blue Sno-Krisp label. This grade is for consumers not concerned with a large amount of color but want a good quality tasting apple. |
In addition to these traditional labels, Borton Fruit is working on a new line of labels under the Apple Tree brand. We hope to be marketing this new label soon!

Also, we have established private label programs with key customers for a our Soft Net Bag product line. The Farm Fresh label is an example of this type of collaboration with our customers.
